A car crash involving five teenagers occurred on Sunday night when the vehicle slid down an embankment near Palm Desert. Riverside County fire officials state that the accident happened on Highway 74 where the car drifted to the right side of the road, down the embankment, and then hit a rock and rolled over. Three of the teenagers were seriously injured, while one died from a broken neck and trauma to the head. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the possible causes of the accident.
